Adding a dash of the unexpected to this Farmhouse

Updated: Nov 14, 2019

Our clients are a hip family who moved from one beach town - Miami - to another - Venice. They love bright eccentric art and music. They wanted their new house to be calming but with a dash of the unexpected. In fact, our instructions from the client included “Paul Smith meets B&B Italia” and “cheeky and irreverent… but also cool and refined.” Which of course are all things we love. See below for the results.

Here are some shots from the first floor living spaces.

The powder room wallpaper by Pierre Frey (very much inspired by the famous Paul Smith stripe) was such a hit with our clients, they decided to wallpaper most of the upstairs as well as their office downstairs. The texture, color, and pattern of wallpaper adds so much character - they were hooked on making this house really feel unique to them.

The downstairs office has a beautiful black and white natural weave wallpaper by Innovations.

Moving upstairs to the master, teen daughter's room and guest/lounge. The master wallpaper, in my opinion, steals the show; it has that delightfully hand drawn quality to it which makes the entire room feel extra fabulous.

A complimentary wallpaper we chose and installed in the master bathroom.

The guest/teen lounge features a pull out sofa and lots of boho accessories, as does our client's teen bedroom.

We also curated a very special family historical and current photo gallery for their hallway - photos coming of that. Putting those extra finishing touches on our clients' homes is always a pleasure and well worth the effort.

Thank you for looking -
